How does my child/family pay for books?

Books can be purchased with cash, debit, credit card, check (made payable to Wiley PTA) or through an eWallet. You can send the appropriate amount of money in with your student, or shop with them during before school or after-school sales days.

Scholastic eWallet: A Safe, Cash-Free Way to Shop the Book Fair

The Scholastic eWallet lets your student shop the Book Fair without carrying cash or card. Simply set up an account online and choose the amount your child can spend. Your student can then use the eWallet to purchase books and other items at the fair. Any unused funds stay in the account for future Book Fairs.

Is tax added to the cost of the book, or is it the price listed?

We use the US price listed on the book + tax, and round up to the nearest whole dollar.

I’d like my child to participate in the book fair, but I’m concerned about the cost. Is any assistance available?

Yes! Books are an important part in helping children build strong literacy skills. At Wiley, we are proud of our Book Fairy program that ensures that every student gets a new book from the book fair in the Fall and Spring. Through the Book Fairy, we provide approximately 100 books each book fair. If you would like your child to participate in the Book Fairy program, please inform their teacher.

How can I donate books to fulfill students’ wish lists?

Donate to Wiley PTA’s Book Fairy program which ensures every student receives a new book from the Book Fair each Fall and Spring. Through this program, we provide around 100 books per fair and this is made possible only through donations from Wiley families. Help us inspire a love of reading by donating to the Book Fairy!

How can I donate books to fulfill teachers’ wish lists?

When you visit the Book Fair, teachers will have their own wish lists available for parents and caregivers to review. You can add a teacher’s wish list book to your total purchase, and drop the book directly into the teacher’s wish list bag.

What if a book I want runs out of stock at the Book Fair?

At the Book Fair, it is inevitable that some books become unpredictably more popular than others. For books that are out-of-stock at the fair, we encourage you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair page to purchase the book(s) online and ship to your home. Orders over $25 ship free.
